The KG4NJA digipeater and the control operator Jim Byrd (WB5POJ). The unit is currently setup to operate as a digipeater (LARCND) with a simple PBBS (KG4NJA-1) defined for leaving messages. There is no forwarding PBBS route defined. The J-pole antenna is located at 200 feet above the ground. The transmitter is set up for a 10 Watt transmit power level and beacons every 30 minutes on the half hour. This picture shows where the digipeater was kept from July 2001 to November 2001. It was then moved to an enviromentally controlled enclosure at 200 feet. This picture is kept for reference.
