Langley Child Development Center

 

The NASA Langley Child Development Center (LCDC) has been nationally accredited program since 2000, it provides affordable high quality, developmental child care services for the families of NASA Langley Research Center civil servants and permanently badged contractors. It is sponsored by the NASA Langley Exchange as an employee benefit and is operated as a non-profit organization.

The center serves children ages:

  • 6 weeks- 5 years old for all year round school
  • 6 years old- 12 years old from June- August
  • Parents may choose full time, part time, or drop in care. Each classroom follows a daily schedule, which includes a balance of activities such as: indoor/outdoor, quiet/active, individual/small & large group and child/staff initiated activities. Each classroom is staffed with a full-time teacher and at least one full-time teaching assistant. The curriculum provides developmentally appropriate activities and materials, parent conferences and nutritionally balanced meals and snacks.     Hours of Operation are:

  • Monday - Friday 6:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
  • Closed on federal holidays
  • The center is located on center at the intersection of Taylor Street and Lindbergh Way. LCDC has an "open door" policy, which gives the parents access to the LCDC director at any time for questions, grievances or concerns.
