Exchange Activities generate Non-Appropriated funds to promote Morale, Welfare, and Recreation programs and services for LaRC employees, contractors, and their family members and quest. The Exchange Operations Manager, Randy Cone, oversees the activities of the NASA Langley Exchange.

LaRC Exchange Services Office is your one stop office to request for Exchange facility use, Catering Services, Clubs and League information, Vending Operations, Organizational Unit Morale Funds, and Exchange Shop services. The services office also is responsible for financial accounting and management, administration of payroll and benefits for the various Exchange Branches, and execution of vending contracts. Vending operations funds are used to help support Exchange Activities as well as Morale Welfare funds for organizational morale events and activities.

LaRC Exchange Food and Beverage Branch exists solely to provide quality food and beverages to LaRC personnel, at reasonable prices and consistent with efficient and business-like operations.

LaRC Exchange Shop offers gifts and merchandise along with providing services like fitness memberships to NASA employees, on or near-site support service contractor employees, and visitors.

LaRC Exchange Activities operate programs that contribute to the leisure and recreational activities for all LaRC employees and their guests. You can find a wide variety of morale and welfare enhancing programs in the LEA Club & Athletics link above. Functions such as socials, sports leagues, travel activities, and clubs are fostered, governed, and subsidized by the LaRC Exchange.

LaRC Fitness Center offers a host of exercise and weightlifting equipment and classes for center personnel. Civil servants, Coop employees as well as NASA permanently badged contractors, visiting students and teachers may join by visiting the Excahnge Shop during normal business hours. All personnel are required to have a medical clearance signed by their physician every three years.

Langley Child Development Center (LCDC) provides high quality developmental childcare to the children of NASA Langley Research Center employees and those near-site and on-site support service contractor employees. This activity is in keeping with the Exchange Council's objective of contributing to the effectiveness, welfare, and morale of Langley Research Center personnel. This service is provided at the lowest reasonable cost possible. (Also see Appendix B- Branch Specific Rules and SOPs)
